The Design, Software development and Data Science-unit (DSD) at the customer, deliver efficient technology and innovative solutions to the rest of the company. Their competence centre currently consists of some 180+ skilled developers. Software craftsmanship is their pride. The team create software in an agile manner and like to utilize state of the art technology, frameworks and tools.

The fo.tone team is working as part of the Fiber Optics project developing an Distributed Fiber Optic data visualization, integration, and analysis platform. Some of MSFT Azure's latest technologies in terms of real-time streaming and data processing are used to deliver real-time data and subsequent analysis from wellbores, pipelines and power cables to users. The team consist of 6 developers and 1 product owner all located together in Stavanger. The Fiber Optics project at the customer is a fully cross disciplinary team, combining IT as well domain specific knowledge to Fiber Optic data. In total the project consists of 25 people located in different locations in Norway.

Tasks and responsibilities

The customer is looking for a developer with a passion for creating outstanding web front-ends, and eagerness to work with technologies as ReactJS, webGL and web workers. An open mind set and to be interested in liaising with Subject Matter Experts is as well of high relevance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to impact the final products to a high degree. You will be part of their team and work closely with the product owner, users, subject matter experts, and other front- and backend developers.

Competence requirements

Primary skills:

• TypeScript/JavaScript

• HTML5/CSS

• ReactJS

• Git/Github with pull requests and code reviews

Secondary skills:

• WebGL, web workers, web audio, Redux, Jest og d3

• Azure, Github action

• ASP.NET Core/C#

• Python
