Andøya Spaceport are seeking a talented and versatile configuration engineer. As configuration engineer you will have an important role in operating, configuring and developing systems related to the spaceport operations. Primary focus for the position is to ensure implementation and correct configuration of systems for satellite launches and ensure coordination between the system engineering-team and the operations team. The position is also a key player in both ensuring operational training, and continuous improvement of our systems for use in operations. 

 

Start Date: As soon as possible (or as agreed upon).

Working tasks/responsibilities

• Operation and configuration of operational systems for use in satellite launches
• Establish and maintain procedures for operation, configuration and development of operational systems
• Configuration of systems in Andøya Spaceport prior to launches
• Check-out and participation in operations as operational config manager during launches
• Contribute to training operational staff in use of systems, including developing and maintaining training material

Qualifications - education

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. Extensive / relevant experience may replace formal education requirements.
• Good IT-competency
• Good English skills, both written and oral
• Knowledge about network security, information security, server- and network operations and system integration is desired

 

The applicant must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with the Norwegian Security Act.

The applicant have to be fit for working in a control room during safety-critical operations
