In this role as a Product Advisor you will be working in the Energy Storage department and be a part of the development team. You will be involved in development and testing of the different components that makes a marine energy storage system. The role will include work such as evaluating different technologies how to utilise it within the maritime rules and regulation.

You will work closely with other disciplines within the team to develop our new energy storage solutions. As a member of the Energy Storage team you will be in the core of the energy conversion technology enabling the ongoing green shift in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

• Product knowledge on battery technology and integration of batteries into marine applications
• Battery sizing and scaling of battery installation
• Development and engineering of energy storage systems
• Technical support for products in operation
• Preparation of technical specifications for projects

 Qualifications and experience

• Education within automation, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, cybernetics or related fields. Relevant experience may compensate for a formal degree.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
• Experience with Energy Storage, preferably within marine power electric systems is an advantage
• Knowledge of relevant industry standard, classification rules and flag states is an advantage
• Knowledge of BMS and battery control is an advantage.
